Construction Equipment Consumption up 14% in August

In August, consumption of new construction equipment increased 13.6% compared to August 2013. Additionally, in 2014 sales are up 25.6% year-over-year.

As a result, equipment consumption is now 61.9% of the peak August volume set in 2006. And for the first time since 2008, equipment sales are above the August 10 year average.
