At the 29th Turf and Ornamental Communicators Association meeting held in Cincinnati, Ohio, on May 1-3, 2018, Total Landscape Care earned two first place awards. Associate editor Beth Hyatt received her first award after winning first place in the “Writing for newsletter – original content only” category for her burnout in the workplace article. Editor Jill Odom earned a first place award in “Ornamental feature article – commercial publication” for her article on ‘crape murder.’ This is Odom’s sixth TOCA award she has received.
