In September, consumption of new construction equipment increased 6.4% compared to September 2013. Additionally, in 2014 sales are up 21.8% year-over-year.
As a result, equipment consumption is now 70.4% of the peak September volume set in 2005. And for the first time since 2007, equipment sales are above the September 10 year average.
